Pink shawl

Pink shawl is finished. It was such a pleasure to weave. I tried to prolong the pleasure as I could.
Two yards of exceptional softness.
Yarn - Alpaca/Sick blend and Mohair/silk blend, one is better than the other.
Plain weave with Spanish lace on my Schacht Rigid-heddle loom.

Now I need to buy something to wear it with.

Stargazer by Mirabilia

Stitched on 32 Belfast in Spruce colour.
10 August - 19 October 2016
Pure joy to stitch. The only problem was I ran out of one color beads and they are not readily available here, had to wait for a week to finally finish her.
(I wish my picture were better quality, but somehow blogger makes them worse).

Stitching update. October 2016

Going down with my WIPs.
Only seven at this very moment.
1. Mirabilia's Stargazer - ready to be beaded

2. Patchwork sampler - 1/3 is done, working on page 6.

3. Nice to have some faces on the Animal Advent Calendar from BrookesBooks

4. Some little progress on TW Tea Scene - just 4 hours during this month.

5. Even less progress on XiuCrafts Wisteria - the same 4 hours but it takes more effort.

6. Weekend progress on Naturlich Rot cushion top II - working on the second corner.

7. And the tiniest progress on Permin mini, looks like tree (?)

Slippers

I am not a swatch person, too lazy. That's why many of my knitting projects are borderline disasters.
I started those slippers three times and still managed to screw up.... Not entirely though.

Had a small ball of Berroco Suede (nylon). The plan was to make slippers to wear over wooly socks for protection. Good thing I can also crochet. This saved the situation.
In the end they turned out kind of cute.

Mill Hill finish

I am down to 7 WIPs as of today.
Mill Hill's Olive Oil is finished. It was such a pleasure to stitch, especially beads.
This is how it looked like before beading

And here is when done

Pure joy!

Oh-oh. Just noticed a couple of beads missing on the bottle. Back to work!

Calendar. September

This year I found out that there are a lot of very talented designers who are ready to share their work with the world for free. Below is a wonderful example of this.

This was a real joy to stitch!

Autumn

How do I know that the  winter is really coming (or at least autumn)? The moment I feel comfortable enough to dig out my wooly crafty projects.

The pink shawl is slowly moving along. More than a half is woven.

Half of the Mondrian latch hook rug is waiting for its second half since April.

A lot needs to be done with the Vermont Winter hooked rug. It came to a halt after unexpectedly I ran out of black wool. I guess this means that I did something wrong, probably, I hooked a bit too tight. Another worry is that I may run out of other colours too.

And the last wooly thing. My nice and warm KnitPicks Palette socks need mending. I may try to sqeeze another year out of them.
