City walk
Finally finished something. Those Permin of Copenhagen minis were stitched a long time ago. 14-2365 on 23Dec2009, 14-2364 on 30Dec2009, 14-2366 on 24Feb2010, and 14-2363 on 17March2010. Turned into a cushion top today.
Have a chance to use my fancy tools.

Tropical Garden
Victoria Sampler's Tropical Garden Sampler. Start No 5 finish No 2 of 2017 (3-25 January). Fabric - 28ct Zweigart Annabelle cotton in Ice Blue.
Very time consuming stitch. A bunch of specialty stitches, french knots, ribbons. There are some color changes every sitich and a half. But at the same time it is so pretty. Reminds me of the vacation times.
The only problem with it - regardless all details it is very small.

Kogin debut
I've been longing to start something in kogin for a very long time. But as usual, I needed "proper" materials to do this. So, I bought a Japonese pillow kit.
I think I am in love. This is such a pleasure to stitch. I need to master it more though. I think I am doing something wrong as my needle got bent. Need to relax a bit.

Naturlich Rot
My early afternoons freed from cross-stitch was a good idea.
Yesterday I sew two cushion tops out of last year's week-end stitching projects, patterns are from a Zweigart's booklet. One more will be done later this year, a bit tired of red.
Stitched on 28 ct. Newport linen 2 over 2 with DMC 321.
Another orchid gave me joy, this is my favourite one, small but colourful.

Vermont Winter
Current status of my Vermont Winter rug hooking kit.
I'll try to work on it gradually eliminating colours. Working on the green now.
Would love to finish it this year.
One of my orchids started to bloom today. Waiting for the the spring...

2017 in stitches
It looks to me, although I always was very fond of cross-stitching, this particular activity replaced all other crafts after me being introduced to floss-tube. I either need to find time for all other crafty thing or... rename my blog :)
So, my 2017 plans are
1. Open Instagram account for frequent stitching updates
2. Free early afternoons (best sunny hours) for anything but cross-stitch
3. Finish what I started in 2016
4. Create something beautiful!
I entered 2017 with one Monkey sock, 80% of latch hook rug, only 5-10% of Vermont Winter wool rug, pounds of spinning cotton and wool and 3 cross-stiching WIPs. Need to start working on those.
