Craft Pod. Owletes

Second project in my Autumn CraftPod box was a couple of felt owlets.
That was such a fun stitch.
Brew some tea from the teabag included in the box and I enjoyed every minute of the process.

Turned them into two Christmas tree ornaments,
Sewn - 29 December 2017.

Applique

Had some fun trying to learn needle-turn reverse applique.
Need to master working sharp corner but still like it.
I think I do some more squares and than decide what to do with them.

Hot pads

Finally did some sewing.
Hot pads from the panel I bought ages ago.
Is it just me, but when I buy some pretty fabric I have hard time cutting it?...
Made five.

Sashiko adventures

I was planning to turn my Sashiko panels into cushion tops but than decided not too. I have too many small cross-stitched finishes for this very purpose. Made "flower cloths" our of them. In fact, original Japanese cloths are not supposed to be bound but since I had raw edges, need to make them to look pretty. Used cotton leftovers from a quilt. Obviously, just scraps.

City walk

Finally finished something. Those Permin of Copenhagen minis were stitched a long time ago. 14-2365 on 23Dec2009, 14-2364 on 30Dec2009, 14-2366 on 24Feb2010, and 14-2363 on 17March2010. Turned into a cushion top today.

Have a chance to use my fancy tools.

Naturlich Rot

My early afternoons freed from cross-stitch was a good idea.
Yesterday I sew two cushion tops out of last year's week-end stitching projects, patterns are from a Zweigart's booklet. One more will be done later this year, a bit tired of red.
Stitched on 28 ct. Newport linen 2 over 2 with DMC 321.

Another orchid gave me joy, this is my favourite one, small but colourful.

Blue velvet

Finally I am done with my multi-craft project.
I sew a blouse than smocked and embroidered it.
And than wove a simple bobbin lace tape that took ages to finish (btw, the colour of the tape is white).

Flannel pants

Some time ago I found an easy pattern for pants on Pinterest. Decided to try as is. Turned out bad. The size was too small for me and on the whole there was something wrong with the pattern. After some amendments finally managed to make the pants wearable.
Love the fabric!

In blue

My embroidery over smocking is moving on....

However, bobbin lace trim which is supposed to decorate the blouse has not been started yet. I have a problem finding a narrow trim for neck and arm lines that looks nice and at the same time manageable.
First attempt seems to be too narrow for this purpose.

Nevertheless, I am planning to lace some more in order to master knotted picots and... still looking for more trim ideas.
