Those fibres are gorgeous! I feel scared spinning them, as my spinning skills can easily ruin such a beauty!

Backstrap weaving. Second attempt
I am still trying to learn backstrap weaving. Laverne's work fascinates me. I moved to the next lesson of her e-book and made a short tape using three patterns on one warp. Although I made a mistake, I still like the result.

Warm and cozy
The slippers are done.
They are knitted from the first yarn I ever spun on my spinning wheel - happy practice is here.
The Alpaca sliver was a surprise part of Louet S90 I gon back in April.

Pink journey
I am finally done with my pink shawl.
It's knitted from 32/2 wool and acrylic (50/50) yarn, it took only 75g of yarn.
It was a long jurney - 11 months. I started it back in November 2013.

Cotton spinning. Part 4
I was right, easy-to-spin cotton slivers are really easiest cottons in the kit.
Pima sliver in process.

Cotton spinning. Part 3.
This time I was spinning the other cloud of ginned cotton.
I defined the first one as Acala cotton, so, this one must be Pima.
It's creamy and kind of dirty with plant matter but... it's spinning like a dream.
Cannot believe that I managed to make a single that has a sewing thread thickness.
I spun just a tiny cloud, I think I need to buy hand carders to make the process even more pleasurable.

Cotton spinning. Part 2
Cotton punis.
There were only two in the kit.
But what a pleasure to spin!
Result - a two-gram-pearl.

Cotton spinning. Part 1
I started spinning from what I think was ginned Acala cotton.
Why? Because it is the largest amount in the kit.
The result is below.

Cotton spinning adventure
My cotton spinning kit has arrived.
I decided to start with the lumpiest kind. It may not be the best choice, but I am afraid to spoil nice looking slivers. My reasoning is - if I learn to spin lumpy ginned cotton - sliver won't be a problem.
And something for dessert. Figs in honey.

Warping again
As summer heat is over, I can finally start warping.
For my next project I am trying waffle weave on a rigid-heddle loom.
The project is from Weaving Today ebook.
