StitchMaynia 2019
My StitchMaynia is over. This year I tried to be monogamous and chose Twisted Band Sampler by Northern Expressions Needlework. The idea was to start new band every day for 17 days.
I used the rest of the month to complete the project.
It was stitched with called-for Dinky Dyes silks on Ecru Sotema linen (it was bought as 40ct. linen but in fact it is not quite even 37/39ct) 1 over 2.

Worked on the project - 1-29 May 2019. Have only positive feelings about it.

Huck weaving
When I bought the fabric for this project, the idea was to make a tablecloth. But the fabric was so pretty I felt bad cutting it. So, I embroidered the whole piece which is big enough to be a bedspread.
Unfortunately, it is impossible to capture the real colour of the fabric. The first picture is the closest.
Design is from Zweigart 3331 leaflet.
Stitched on Zweigart Stockholm fabric with DMC Perle 3 cottons.
27 March 2018 - 29 December 2018, sewn in January 2019.

Pulled thread mat
- I tried new thing and I liked it.
- Heart's Delight. Pulled thread mat on 28ct. Cashel linen (white) using DMC Perle cotton 8 and 12. The project is from Inspirations magazine Issue 94.
Stitched - 18-24 June 2018
Never done this before; turned out it is easier than it seems, as long as you are good at counting. Had some problems with this :) - First using thicker DMC Perle cotton 8 you outline the shape with blanket stitch and with outline stitch - hearts inside.
And than with DMC Perle cotton 12 you do different pulled thread fillings in every heart.
The scarest part is cutting everything out very close to the blanket stitch.

Liked it a lot. May even try it again some time later.

Stitch Maynia 2018
This year I decided to go small with my Stitch Maynia starts. As as result I have 12 finishes out of 18 starts! I do not like to stitch small projects - I enjoy long-term ones. But there are so many small designs I really love but keep postponing doing them till some other day. This May that happy day came! I called it French Maynia as all the starts were from French designers.
