Things that make me super happy

Those fibres are gorgeous! I feel scared spinning them, as my spinning skills can easily ruin such a beauty!

Petit Coeur

To entertain myself this year, I decided to bring some reasoning to my stitching starts. So, I came up with Stitching-around-the-world idea. Will try different countries as designers origin or design themes.
First, France - Petit Coeur by Jardin Prive.
Started this only because I needed some rest from my big projects.
Stitched on 32ct. Flax linen by Zweigart with very slippery DMC rayon flosses 1over2.
10-13 January 2020.

Socks

Another 2019 project is finished. Hubby socks.
This was mainly a car project, that’s why it took so long.
10 April 2019 - 7 January 2020
They look kind of wabi-sabi but fit really well.

Hexie flowers

Finally found use for some hexie flowers I made long ago. They were my learning ones while mastering EPPing. Used them to embellish stitching frame for my Chatelaine project. It looks like it’s taking more time to finish than expected, so, definitely need some protection.

Unexpected finish

This is the first time I started a project from Craftpod the moment I received it.
Stitched a tiny Holiday hoop just in two days but I did it my way.
It was supposed to look like this:

But I stitched it with metallic flosses and it looks a bit blingy now.
Winter 2019 Craftpod - 18-19 December 2019.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Autumn finishes

Sometimes it takes years for me to FFO something.
I bought buttons for this project some 10 years ago, stitched it in May-June 2017 and only in 2019 made the final project - fabric envelope.
The Thread that Ties Us (CrossStitch Gold No 82)

I have another finish in November:
Country Morning by Mill Hill (MH14-3205)
1 September - 22 November 2019

And another one in almost November:

Summer finishes

Summer in the Meadow by Just Nan.
19 June - 31 July (14 stitching days).

Spring and summer. Two more seasons to come...

Tea Time Blackwork Sampler by Ajisai Press.
6 June - 3 August 2019 (8 stitching days).
It was stitched on Monk cloth, very big and very wonky. Made a tray doily out of it. Took just one week for it to be covered in tea stains. :)

Second jar is ready.
Dimensions Christmas Jar Ornaments.
19 July - 26 August 2019 (19 stitching days).

And now there are two of them.

Cut, pin, sew, iron, repeat

That’s what I was doing today. And I guess will be doing in the foreseeable future.
Quite meditative.

Spindles

Question: How many spindle would be enough?
Answer: Maybe 42?
I bought two and I want more, because I am in love!
Mistral and Sirocco support spindles from Hipstrings. They are fabulous!
First using sample that came with the spindles to test them.

Now spinning cotton punis I hand-carded myself (that’s why they look so ugly).

Cutting, cutting, cutting...

In this heat it takes me ages to cut fabric.
