Filigree Bookmark

Decided to take my tatting experience to the next level.
My first attempt was just circles, this time I added chains.

The project is from the Inspirations magazine Issue 47.
I used DMC Perle Cotton 12 in color 642.
11 August - 4 September 2017.
The result is kind of wonky and small.
I think I will try to tat another one in brighter color and thicker thread.

Joining tatted rings

I must be slow because it took me a while to get how to join my ring to chain, this site helped, namely one single phrase "Make the second ring by again wrapping the shuttle thread around the left hand". After this everything worked.

Sweet pea napkins

My learning to tat began from a simple napkin edge.
I took the design from Inspirations magazine issue 26.
I started to tat with #80 cotton.
However, the resulting edge seemed to be too delicate for my linen napkins, thus I moved to DMC Perle 12.

Spring and summer, two embroideries, 500 tatted circles and voila...
September 2013
I hope they will keep good company to my Dragonfly napkins made back in 2007 inspired by Inspiration magazine issue 52.
